“Honestly all of the above! I give them hugs and reassurance to calm them down, we logically talk about it to explain why it may not actually be scary, and then if they decide to, we can face it together gently. Otherwise if they’re too overwhelmed and terrified, we use distraction. Every fear is different so therefore different tactics are needed :)”
