Featured Response 💬

“Talking to a toddler having a meltdown is a waste of time and energy. They are not absorbing anything. If distractions aren’t working, just holding them and waiting for them to naturally calm down or helping with calming down techniques, like listening to mommy’s heartbeat or blowing out the finger candles, is my next go to. Sometimes we all just want to get it out, they do to. The time to discuss what happened to cause the meltdown and their reaction is after the storm has passed and they can listen and learn.”

Absolutely, sometimes just being a comforting presence and letting them ride out their big emotions is the best thing we can do. - Danielle 😊
