Pregnancy and having kids turned me into an ingredient-label freak, lol.

baking with my little ones (and trying to keep it somewhat healthy) 😅
I’m just… way more careful about what I put in my body in this season.
In a perfect world, we’d get everything we need from food. Lots of protein. Lots of veggies. Perfectly balanced meals three times a day.
But real life is real life.
Some days I’m crushing it. Other days I’m like… “Was that a meal or just three handfuls of goldfish I ate standing up?” 😅
That is why I supplement. Not to be "perfect," but to cover my bases on the days when real life takes over.
My biggest issue with supplements
My biggest hang-up with vitamins has always been trust.
The supplement industry is kind of the Wild West.
I’ve read too many stories about pills being full of random fillers, heavy metals, or not actually containing what the label says.
If I am going to take something every single morning, I need to know it’s actually doing something.
Why I keep coming back to Ritual
I’ve tried a bunch, but Ritual is the one I keep coming back to.
It’s not just because the bottle looks nice (though it does). It’s because they are obsessive about receipts.
They are "Made Traceable": They don't just list ingredients; they show you exactly where they came from. (Like, "This folate comes from Pisticci, Italy").
Third-Party Tested: They test for heavy metals and microbes, which is my non-negotiable, especially during pregnancy and postpartum.
It’s not one-size-fits-all
What I need right now (chasing toddlers) is different from what I needed when I was pregnant.
They have specific formulations for every season:
Prenatal (The gold standard)
Postnatal (For the depletion phase)
Women’s Multivitamin (For the "just tired" phase) 😅
It takes the guesswork out of "what should I be taking?"
A perk for us
I reached out to see if they could do something for The Mommy readers, and they actually said yes!
Code: THEMOMMY
I recommend starting with their quiz to see which specific formula matches your current "mom season."
