Make a tiny playground first-aid kit

Mom Hack
Here’s your reminder to make a tiny first-aid pouch before the next scraped knee happens.
Toss in:
A few bandages in different sizes
2 wound-cleaning wipes
A small gauze pad
A tiny packet of petroleum jelly or wound ointment
Tweezers for splinters
A couple of tissues
Keep it all in one little zip pouch in your purse or diaper bag.
For most small scrapes, rinse with clean water first, dry the area, then cover it.
Two minutes to pack. Very nice to have when the playground suddenly turns into urgent care.

Does insurance cover online therapy now?

For a long time, the answer was mostly no. You paid out of pocket, and for a lot of moms, that settled it.
That's changing. Insurance options may now be available for eligible BetterHelp members.*
May is doing honest work there. It depends on your state and your plan.
The part that isn't a maybe: if you choose self-pay, your first month is half price* through our link. It applies on its own. No code to hunt for.
The quiz takes a few minutes.
It matches you with a licensed therapist, usually within 48 hours, for sessions by phone, video, or live-chat*.
*BetterHelp sponsors this section. Insurance availability and coverage may vary by state, plan, provider network, and therapist availability. Offer valid for first time users only and cannot be combined with insurance. When using insurance, certain BetterHelp features may be limited or unavailable, including chat-based sessions, groups/classes, and select self-help tools.

“I start by telling my son what I need to do around the house, example: clean baseboards, wipe down walls, vacuum under furniture. Then I ask, ‘Would you like to help me?’ 9/10 times he always says yes. Or I just start doing it, and he will ask, can I do it? Which I always say very happily, oh yes! I would love your help! When I don’t force it he wants to help. When picking up his toys, I make it a game. Who can pick up the most, or the fastest.”
I love this! Making it feel like helping instead of a chore is such a good idea, and somehow they always want to do it more when it’s their choice 😂 -Danielle 😊
