3 apples (cored, cut into ¼ inch slices)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter (use coconut oil for our vegan queens!)
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (you choose!)
1 tablespoon cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
⅛ teaspoon salt (just a pinch!)
1 tablespoon fresh apple juice, whiskey (moms, you earned it!), or water
Vanilla ice cream (optional, but highly recommended for serving!)

Decide on the big question: To peel or not to peel those apples? (I say keep 'em on, but your call!)
Warm up that oven to 350°F (180°C).
Slice up those apples nice and thin - we're talking ¼ inch slices.
In a warm pan, melt the butter, toss in the apple slices, and give them a nice sprinkle of spices, cornstarch, honey, and maybe a splash of whiskey (wink!).
Ensure those apples are coated well, then transfer them to your fancy ceramic baking dish.
Bake for 30 golden minutes, or until those apples are just right - tender but holding their shape.
Serve warm and let that vanilla ice cream melt over the slices. A little whipped cream or custard won't hurt either!
