Cool & Fruity: Homemade Easy Yogurt Bars

yummytoddlerfood.com

Are your littles teething, or perhaps just craving something chilled and delicious?

Either way, I’ve got your back!

Meet the Easy Yogurt Bars: your new secret weapon for warm days, snack times, or when those tiny teeth just need some relief.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sliced ripe banana (or swap it with frozen wild blueberries or mango)

  • 1½ cups Greek-style plain yogurt (whole-milk yogurt preferred)

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional to taste)

  • 1 cup crushed granola (avoid any large nuts; press lightly between your fingers to break up large clumps)

  • Berries or sprinkles (for topping, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Blend away: Toss the banana, yogurt, and your chosen sweetener into a blender, and blend until it's smooth.

  2. Prep your pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. (This will make lifting the bars out and slicing them as easy as pie!)

  3. Assemble your masterpiece: Sprinkle your granola onto the bottom of the pan. Pour your freshly blended yogurt mixture over it. Smooth it out and add any optional toppings if you're feeling a bit extra.

  4. Freeze time: Patience, my friend! Let it freeze for 4-6 hours.

  5. Serve up the goodness: Remove from the freezer, lift the bars out of the pan using your parchment paper. Run a knife under very hot water and slice into bars. Serve up that frozen delight right away.
