Fresh Air for Fussy Babies

Mom Hack

If your house is getting loud and your kid is falling apart, try this first.

Go outside.

No big plan. No perfect timing. Just step out for a few minutes.

Fresh air can calm a tantrum fast.

My oldest had some rough, fussy nights as a baby.
Taking him outside was the only thing that worked sometimes.

Porch, driveway, front yard. Didn’t matter.

The second we stepped out, it was like his body could finally relax.

And honestly? We had one more oddly-specific trick during witching hour: Whitney Houston’s National Anthem. On repeat.

I can’t explain it, but it soothed him every time.

Parenting is wild. 😅

Together with Platoon Kids

The Denim Jacket Phase

There are a few things about the baby stage that are just unfairly cute.

A tiny denim jacket look is one of them. 🥹

Platoon Kids has a denim jacket that starts at 3–6 months and runs up through 5T, so it works for babies now and bigger kids later.

Then you add the part kids actually care about.

Their iron-on patches make it easy to add personality fast. Pick one, iron it on, and it instantly feels like their jacket.

Before you go, one of their artists, Beppie, just dropped a new kid-friendly single, ‘Elevator.’

“Since motherhood, I’ve gone a lot of different directions. I have gotten my bachelor’s degree in Human Services. Went back to nail school and got licensed as a nail tech. Started an LLC. And just opened a nail studio with the long term goal of using that money to put myself through grad school for my masters in social work and working part time doing that, and part time doing nails and hiring extra people in my salon to work the times I’m not there. But I NEVER thought I’d be turning my passion for art into a legit business. ”

Oh mama, that is so inspiring—starting a studio and an LLC, using nails to fund grad school, and building a setup that works for your family is seriously impressive. -Danielle 😊
