“I try to do a combination. For example, my almost 3yo daughter ran to me because she was scared of the thunder. I hugged her until she calmed down, then explained that thunder is just sound. Then I pointed out that the storm was outside and we were inside, so we were safe. She then confidently relayed all of this to her older brother, adding on "I'm brave!" at the end.”

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
In another bowl, mix the egg, syrup, milk, oil, and vanilla.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry, stir in the zucchini and oats.
Divide batter among muffin cups and bake for 16-20 minutes.
