Fun Fitness with Baby: Easy At-Home Workouts for Moms

Who says workouts can't be fun with your little one?

Here's a handy guide on simple exercises to stay fit, all while playing with your baby.

Note: for visuals of these exercises, you can reference the original article here.

Ab Workouts with a Cute Twist

Get rid of the post-baby belly with some fun tummy exercises:

  • Baby Curl-Ups: Lie on your back, knees bent. Put your baby on your belly, holding them tightly. Lift your head and shoulders, then lower. Repeat 15-20 times, take a break, then do one more set.

  • Reverse Baby Curl: Lie down and put your baby on your legs. Lift your hips and shoulders at the same time. Then lower. Again, do this 15-20 times, rest, and repeat.

Shake Your Groove Thing with Baby

Have a fun dance party with your baby to get your body moving.

  • Baby Dancing: Hold your baby and dance to your favorite tunes. Make your moves big and keep your tummy muscles tight. This helps all your big muscle groups and is a great mood booster!

Upper Body Strength with a Smile

Get your arms stronger with some lifting - your baby!

  • Baby Overhead Press: Sit down, hold your baby in front of you. Lift your baby up and down. Do this 10 times, take a short break, then do two more sets.

  • Baby Bench Press: Lie down, hold your baby close to your chest. Lift your baby up and down. Just like the overhead press, do this 10 times, rest, and repeat two more times.

Leg and Butt Toning, the Fun Way

Get your legs and bottom in shape with some classic dance moves:

  • Baby Pliés and Walking Lunges: Put your baby in a front carrier. Start with two minutes of dancing to warm up, then do one minute of pliés and one minute of walking lunges. Repeat this four times. Don't forget to stretch at the end!

Takeaway

There you go, moms—a fun way to workout and spend quality time with your baby. Always remember, baby's safety is most important.

So, be careful during these workouts. Have fun turning your baby-lifting into a great workout routine! 🙂
